Our practice nurses offer a wide range of services including:
- Immunisation and foreign travel
- Minor Injuries
- Cervical Smears
- Chronic Disease Management
- Family Planning
We have a physiotherapist based at the practice twice a week who can be accessed via a referral from a doctor or nurse practitioner.
The dietician holds regular clinics within the surgery and access is via a referral from a healthcare professional.
Diabetes Nurse Specialist
A diabetes nurse specialist from the Elsie Bertram Centre holds a clinic once a month at the surgery and access is via a healthcare professional.
We have two fully qualified Nurse Practitioners who can deal with many of the same issues as a doctor.
Phlebotomist and Health Care Assistant
We have an in house Phlebotomist and Health Care Assistant whose services include:
- Blood tests
- Blood pressure monitoring
- Urine testing
- Warfarin monitoring
- New patient health checks
- NHS Health checks

We have a team of District Nurses who provide a service to our patients. The District Nurses offer a service to the housebound and work closely with the doctors and practice nurses.

Pre-Diabetic Prevention Programme
Staithe Surgery have now commended hosting health and wellbeing coaches from a company called Independant Clinical Services (ICS) to conduct pre-diabetic health and well-being advice to those patients who live in the Stalham area and who are considered to be at risk of developing diabetes.
This will be part of a national initiative although currently is being trialled in north Norfolk and the sessions will include 1 to 1 consultations followed by a 10-week programme of advice how to prevent diabetes. This programme will be held as a group session and include diatary and exercise advice.
Those who are considered to be at risk will be contacted by letter.

A private psychotherapist (Susan Frazer) holds a clinic at the surgery on a regular basis; she books her own appointments and can be contacted on 01603 304543.
